Project Details

Lloyds Bank is a financial services group focused on retail and commercial customers – with millions of customers in the UK and a presence in nearly every community.

In conjunction with LAMPUK, the consultant developed an energy and sustainability programme using the latest LED lighting technology to produce a lighting concept combining the retail experience and a multi-sensory environment while reducing energy usage.

The choice of LED fixtures was fundamental to meet all Lloyds Bank Group sustainability needs while perfectly shaping their desired mood.

Reducing the carbon footprint of Lloyds Banks' operations is a crucial part of their sustainability strategy, working towards an ambitious set of commitments to change how they operate as a business and help accelerate their plans to tackle climate change.

The LED lighting is part of a more comprehensive Lloyds Bank commitment to reduce its total energy consumption by 50% by 2030; they already use 100% renewable electricity, and the programme will reduce the amount of power they consume overall to support the UK in meeting an increasing demand for renewable energy.

The LED lighting replacement programme has helped Lloyds Bank make good progress against their targets. LED lighting has contributed toward a reduced direct carbon emission by 36%, and the energy consumption is down 25.5% compared to their 2018/19 baselines.

A relaxed, energy-efficient general lighting, combined with accent lights to show up the main areas, naturally blends with the modern and harmonious design of the whole environment and leads the customer through a real sensorial experience.
